Nanako stepped through the doorway of the house, her husband Shinichiro’s parents’ residence. She could see the familiar faces of his family, but there was one person she had yet to meet – Shinichiro’s single brother-in-law, Kyojiro. Her husband quickly said his goodbye as he left for work, leaving Nanako to help clean up around the house. She obliged, knowing that it would only take her a few minutes before she could sit down and relax.

As she dusted and swept, Kyojiro’s eyes followed her every move. Nanako could feel his gaze on her, making her feel uneasy. She had heard from her husband that Kyojiro had always been infatuated with her, but she never expected him to be so bold. She tried to ignore it and continued with her task, but Kyojiro’s advances were becoming more and more obvious.

Finally, Nanako finished cleaning and retreated to the living room, where she could finally relax. But Kyojiro followed her, sitting a little too close for comfort. She knew she had to tell her husband about his brother’s behavior, but she didn’t want to cause any trouble. She hoped that Kyojiro would get the hint and leave her alone, but she couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease.
